Letter : St. Mary's, [In.?], to Hannah Payne, Washington, Ky., 1813 Aug.

Autograph letter signed. Folded letter sheet with address. Payne, while participating in the War of 1812, writes to his wife that his regiment has been ordered by General William Henry Harrison to escort provisions and ammunition to Fort Meigs. He also writes that the fleet under Commodore Oliver Perry's command was sailing from Sandusky Bay.
